The Diversity Center presents two big annual events to further its mission of advancing diversity, challenging assumptions, and advocating for understanding.

For over 50 years The Diversity Center has hosted the Humanitarian Award Dinner

This year's dinner was held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, in honor of Christopher Connor, Chairman, CEO & President of The Sherwin-Williams Company and Eugene Sanders, Ph.D., CEO of the Cleveland Municipal School District. 

Walk, Rock & Run, The Diversity Center's 6th annual walkathon and 5K run will occur on May 3, 2008.

Living Voices--January 21-- February 29 2008 

Imagine taking a journey to a watershed moment in time.  Consider your place in history.  What it was like to live in another time? Through the magic of video and an interactive performer, Living Voices presents unique and stirring presentations that capture the minds and hearts of today's audiences. 

Educator Series--Count Me In: Diversity, Multiculturalism,
and Inclusion in Education
--January 17, February 7, March 4 & April 15.

Northeast Ohio educators are invited to participate in an innovative series of interactive workshops that will inform them about the newest research in multicultural and inclusive learning. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue about diversity and obtain skills and strategies to create more equitable learning environments at their school.

Cultural Competency in Healthcare Workshop Series--February 12, March 11 and April 24, 2008

The Aetna Foundation generously funded this three-part series.  Each half day workshop will include an experienced speaker from the healthcare profession, an interactive breakout session to help participants learn cultural competency skills, and a patient testimonial about their experience of cultural (in)competency.
